The Adult Dive Experience has different days and times so please check the Blue Planet Aquarium website for full details. Full training and safety briefing is given as well as equipment and reduced entry for any spectators not quite brave enough to do it themselves! Please note the Junior Dive Experience is only available on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:30am unless stated. There’s also food and drink available in the Nautilus Kitchen Restaurant. Then, if you’ve not already had enough excitement for one day out, the little ones can play in the Pirate Playground whilst you sit back and relax. With their 250 needle like teeth and huge 3.2m length, they’re truly the star of the show. Three live shows are on throughout the day starting at 11:30am with divers swimming throughout a Caribbean Reef, 1,500 fish and Europe’s largest collection of Sharks, including the awesome Sand Tiger Sharks.
One thing not to be missed is the Aquatheatre, a huge viewing window into the underwater world. Plus there’s discoveries above the water too, with Caiman Crocodiles, Frog Zone, Venomous Spiders and Pelican Cove all packed with new discoveries. One of the highlights of any visit is the Shark tunnel which really puts you in the thick of the underwater action. One of the most advanced theaters in the world, this show features interactive seats and unique special effects that are built into the theater itself. From the fish and creatures found in our own rivers and streams to fish, octopus and sharks from more tropical seas, the exciting underwater exhibitions that Blue Planet Aquarium will have kids and adults amazed. By combining the highest quality 3D high definition projection with special effects, Georgia Aquarium’s 4D Theater allows guests to do exactly that.
